Many of us can’t wait to make this Christmas one to remember, as unfortunately coronavirus restrictions have resulted in some popular UK-wide winter events such as the German market being canceled. from Leeds, there are still many more ways to enjoy Christmas traditions. But one of Yorkshire’s favorite party activities is ice skating.
There is something nostalgic about putting on a pair of skates and sliding around the rink.

Yorkshire’s winter wonderland, York
The largest outdoor ice rink in the north of England is back, with 975m² of ice and a sparkling 30-foot Christmas tree as the centerpiece. Returning from November 19 to January 9, the rink will open at York Designer Outlet this Christmas, and you can purchase tickets here.
Surrounded by illuminated trees, log cabins, the cafe next to the ice rink and even Santa’s Cave, this magical setting is the perfect festive experience for all ages.
Stockeld Park, Wetherby
The 630 square meter ice rink allows you to stay dry while offering an open-air view of the park, all the way to the domain’s magnificent enchanted forest.

Scarborough Christmas Shard
Brand new for 2021, Scarborough’s own ice rink! Enjoy the perfect party activity for first dates, play dates, best friends, and fun for the whole family throughout December through January 2, buy your tickets here.
The fairy-lit ice rink caters to all ages and abilities, with “peaceful” sessions and wheelchair accessibility; also hosting a funfair full of rides, alongside Christmas-themed shopping and entertainment.
