Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest returns to Philadelphia on November 25

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas in Philadelphia!

The Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is back this year from November 25 on the Delaware waterfront in Philadelphia, followed by a Christmas tree lighting event powered by PECO on December 2!

There really is no better way to start the true beginning of the holiday season than attending the lighting of a Christmas tree! There’s something so magical about Christmas in Philadelphia. And this traditional event makes it so much better.

Prepare to invite your family and friends to enjoy the FREE ENTRANCE winter wonderland festival with rides and games on the boardwalk, amazing food, hot drinks and heated cabins, all under thousands of twinkling Christmas lights with beautiful views of the Delaware waterfront. That’s really all the holiday season is supposed to be!

And you can’t miss the tree lighting event powered by PECO! Christmas tree lighting will take place December 2, with the festivities of 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

While you’re enjoying the amazing holiday vibe, you can grab some delicious food and drinks from Black iron barbecue, Chickie’s & Pete’s, Skelly’s Pizza and Dipsand Skelly’s Funnel Cake. There will also be cocktails, beers & winesand hot drinks like hot chocolate, apple cider, and coffee.

At the center of Winterfest is Philadelphia’s favorite ice rink. If you want to ice skate (which is a must), admission is only $5. If you need to rent skates, the rental fee is $12. Go ahead and book your skating tickets in advance HERE.

Winterfest takes place from November 25 – March 5. Here are the opening hours:

General opening hours

Monday – Thursday: 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Friday: 1 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 1 a.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Vacation week: December 24 to January 2

December 24 and December 25: 1 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
From December 26 to December 30: 11 a.m. – 1 a.m.
December 31: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
January 1: 11 a.m. – 1 a.m.
January 2: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
