Elsewhere, it was the end of the road for Sally Dynevor as she became the sixth celebrity eliminated from the competition.

The 58-year-old actress, who plays Sally Metcalfe in Coronation Street, and her skating partner Matt Evers landed in the bottom two opposite BMX rider Kye Whyte and partner Tippy Packard.

Sally and Matt received a 25.5/40 rating for their performance where her Corrie co-star Antony Cotton made an appearance four years after appearing on Dancing On Ice himself.

All four judges opted to save Kye and Tippy, but Sally remained optimistic after her elimination.

She said, “I had the time of my life. I loved doing this show, it was awesome. Matt, honestly, I couldn’t have gone through this with you, you were such a strength to me. I will miss you so much. We will remain friends.

Sally first took part in the skating and, before Kye even stepped onto the ice, told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “The competition is so good but I think it’s time for me to go. go.”
