London ice rinks for winter 2021/22

Winter is coming, as are the ephemeral ice rinks that populate the city every winter. After an obvious breakup last year, many are back for people to repeatedly fall.

Canary wharf

Saturday 23 October 2021 – Saturday 26 February 2022

Canada Square Park will once again be transformed with a traditional alpine theme and an indoor ice rink with hundreds of sparkling fairy lights. The ice rink will be open for Halloween, Christmas and after Valentine’s Day.

Hampton Court Palace

An open-air ice rink in front of the famous Tudor Palace.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Friday 19 November 2021 – Monday 3 January 2022

An ice rink inside the Winter Wonderland fair in Hyde Park, considered the largest outdoor ice rink in the UK

Prices:

  • Adult / Teenager: £ 15.50
  • Child (12 and under): £ 10.50
  • Reduced price: £ 14.50
  • Family (2 adults / teenagers and 2 children OR 1 adult / teenager and 3 children): £ 42

Note that there is a £ 5 entrance fee to Winter Wonderland, which is waived if you spend at least £ 20 on other attractions.


Natural History Museum

Friday 22 October 2021 – Sunday 16 January 2022

This is the last time an ice rink will appear in front of the Natural History Museum as the garden is about to be renovated. The Café Bar offers a bird’s eye view of the ice rink and is open every day until the ice rink closes.

Located opposite Queen’s House and next to the impressive Christopher Wren designed Old Royal Naval College.

Located inside the main courtyard of Somerset House, this is a more party-oriented ice rink, with DJ music takeovers, food, drink and champagne lounges.

Tobacco dock

Rooftop ice rink which is more of a bolt on to the beverage and dining bar. Tables for food and drink can be reserved in advance, but ice skating only on the day of arrival.
