Millburn Ice Skating Pond and Rink: All Hours and Rules

MILLBURN, NJ – Can I ask you a question: Have you wondered when and where you can ice skate in Millburn?

Here are three ways to check if the rink and pond are open, followed by times and rules:

  • Millburn is continuously updating this website – twp.millburn.nj.us/recinfo – to inform the citizens if the pond and the skating rink are open for skating.
  • In addition, a green flag is displayed in front of the Bauer Community Center building if it is safe to skate on the pond. For the ice rink, it is posted on the fence of the tennis court. Red flags are displayed when it is not safe to skate.
  • You can also call (973) 564–7096.

Some skating rules and information for the pond and for the ice rink:

  • When ice skating on the pond, only skate inside the yellow ropes and do not pass them as zones
beyond the rope are dangerous and dangerous.
  • Skating is at your own risk as the areas are not always supervised.
  • Face coverings are recommended at all times and social distancing is recommended unless you are skating with a family member. Do not come skating if you have symptoms of covid or if you are in quarantine

  • For the rink, there are capacity limits: (30) for free skating and (15) for hockey – First come, first served.
