Get ready to ride this weekend as the Frisch mobile ice rink appears again on Court Street Plaza.
The nearly 9,000 square foot rink will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on August 5, noon to 8 p.m. on August 6, and noon to 6 p.m. on August 7. Bring your own skates or rent a pair for $5. Admission is $2.
In addition to these retro ice rink vibes, Court Street Plaza will also be brimming with food and drink options, as well as music, throughout the weekend. The Art on Vine maker market will also be there on Sunday.
Frisch’s mobile rink made its debut on Memorial Day weekend to honor Frisch’s 75th birthday, with a nostalgic nod to the popularity of roller skating when the local chain was founded.
“Frisch’s has brought joyful experiences to customers for 75 years and we will continue to do so as we celebrate our 75th anniversary,” Frisch Vice President of Marketing Jordin Nabi said in a statement on the rink launch. . “We are thrilled to partner with 3CDC to bring back the magic of rollerblading and say thank you to our loyal guests.”
