Sam’s Club launches new customer experiences for the holidays
Sam’s Club offers several new holiday experiences, from ice skating to wine delivery.
In five locations, the Walmart-owned retailer will host a Merry-City in Parking Lot, where its club members can enjoy a vacation experience that includes an ice rink with special performances, and more. The retailer will also be launching its first-ever vacation preview catalog. The best gifts, decorations and entertainment items will be listed in a 35-page collection that will be mailed out and posted on SamsClub.com in early October.
“Our membership has reached record levels and our members are telling us it’s Christmas time, maybe like never before,” said Tony Rogers, Membership Director of Sam’s Club. “Here we are saying that our members ‘expect something special’ from us, and we will be offering more events, an earlier start, more marketing support than ever, amazing articles and technology like Scan & Go that lets you jump the line and beat the crowds.
The Sam’s Club is also holding a Scan & Go sweepstakes to promote retail technology, where members can enter to win prizes like a $ 50,000 trip, a $ 30,000 mega home theater makeover. or a lifetime membership with a Sam’s Club $ 20,000 party shopping.

The retailer is also working with DRINKS to launch a direct-to-home wine delivery service, making it the first warehouse retailer with this capability in multiple states, he said. Sam’s Club members in 16 states will have access to the service, allowing them to order private label Member’s Mark wines on SamsClub.com and have them shipped right to their doorstep. Additional states and wines will be added to the service early next year.
