San Jose to host 2024 AHL All-Star Classic |

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. …President and CEO of the American Hockey League Scott Howson announced today that the Board of Governors has unanimously approved the San Jose Barracuda as host of the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic.

The event will take place at Tech CU Arena, the crown jewel of a 200,000 square foot extension to the public Sharks Ice rink in San Jose that will become the Barracuda’s new home next season.

“Tech CU Arena is the latest demonstration of the San Jose Sharks’ vision and commitment to growing hockey in the Bay Area,” Howson said. “Our All-Star events provide a stage for hockey’s brightest young stars to shine, and we look forward to sharing this celebration of our players and our league with the San Jose community in 2024.”

The 2024 AHL All-Star Classic will include the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday February 4followed by the AHL Hall of Fame induction and awards ceremony on monday february 5 and the 2024 AHL All-Star Challenge that night.

The 2024 AHL All-Star Classic in San Jose will feature the best young talent in the American Hockey League: Since 1995, more than 94% of All-Star Classic attendees have competed in the National Hockey League, including Cam Atkinson, Drake Batherson, Patrice Bergeron, Jordan Binington, Jack Campbell, John Carlson, Zdeno Chara, Logan Couture, Thatcher Demko, Denis Guryanov, Connor Hellebuyck, Tristan Jarry, Kaapo Kahkonen, Jordan Kyrou, Jonathan Marchessault, Jacob Markstrom, JT Miller, Brandon Montour, William Nylander, Kyle Palmieri, Mikko Rantanen, Dylan Strom, Vitek Vanecek and Mats Zuccarello.
