SOURCE: Knyzhov ‘should be ready to go’ for the season

Good news, Nikolai Knyzhov is skating.

That’s what San Jose Hockey Now’s Lizz Child reported two weeks ago while attending San Jose Sharks development camp:

Knyzhov also toured the community, make an appearance at Extra Hour Traininga full-service off-ice hockey training facility (and sponsor SJHN) located minutes from Sharks Ice.

That’s great news, considering Knyzhov missed the entire 2021-22 season due to groin injuries and a post-surgery infection.

Knyzhov reveals he suffered a groin injury and thinks he’ll be ready in the fall

SJHN spoke with a source today, who reports no setbacks so far this summer for the San Jose Sharks defenseman, “Not that I’m aware of. It should be good to go [for the season].”

Of course, Knyzhov himself took a cautious tone about his fall comeback during his May exit interview, saying with a smile, “The screening is there and, you know, they had the same screening. exactly one year ago in May. There is only hope there. Hopefully I’m ready at this point. I don’t mean I won’t, I don’t mean it will, but from now on I feel like I will. I feel good right now.

It seems that, for now, Knyzhov is still on the right track. Let’s hope he stays on the ball: The San Jose Sharks’ blue line is short with Brent Burns, and they’ll need everyone on deck to catch up on the franchise icon’s minutes.
