The Christmas tree lighting at the Fountain Plaza Rotary Rink is scheduled for December 3

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) – Buffalo Place and Bank on Buffalo have announced that the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration at the Fountain Plaza Rotary Rink will take place on December 3.

The event is held annually and marks the official opening of free skating at Rotary Rink. It will begin at 5 p.m. with free skating and at 6 p.m. there will be a tree lighting and fireworks display over Fountain Plaza.

“We look forward to continuing the tradition of free ice skating in the heart of downtown Buffalo and working with BankOnBuffalo as presenting sponsor of the tree lighting. In partnership with the City of Buffalo and the Rotary Club of Buffalo, Buffalo Place has operated this outdoor rink for 25 years. The Fountain Plaza renovations provide residents and visitors with a charming outdoor winter activity to enjoy all season long.

“We are thrilled to be the Presenting Sponsor of the Downtown Buffalo Tree Lighting Celebration. BankOnBuffalo put down roots in downtown Buffalo with the opening of our first location at the Electric Tower five years ago, and we’re here to stay. We are grateful to the people of Western New York for welcoming BankOnBuffalo with open arms, and we hope lighting this tree will help bring some joy to the community this holiday season.

– Michael Noah, President of BankOnBuffalo
