Upcoming ‘Elf’ Christmas Experience in Aurora Gaylord Rockies

Aurora’s Gaylord Resort has announced vacation plans for interactive experiences, activities and live entertainment.

AURORA, Colorado – A whole new Christmas experience is about to open in Gaylord Rockies this holiday season.

“Mission: Save Christmas With Elf” will be open at the Aurora Resort and Convention Center from Friday November 19 to Sunday January 2, 2022.

The new multi-sensory marquee experience for all ages will allow guests to join Buddy the Elf in answering Santa’s call to gather enough Christmas cheer to help Santa’s sleigh fly.

Gaylord Rockies said guests will travel to Buddy’s world to help save Christmas with fun and interactive challenges.

Participants will team up with Mr Narwhal and his friends in the sugarcane forest, stay ahead of the toy quota at the North Pole, prepare for the arrival of Santa Claus at the iconic department store and participate to an epic virtual snowball fight in Central Park. These are just a few of the interactive elements of “Mission: Save Christmas with Elf”.

Gaylord Rockies “Cirque Dreams Holidaze “is also back this holiday season.

The Family Vacation Show – which was last performed at the Bubly Theater in Gaylord Rockies in 2019 – will return for 62 performances from Friday November 19 through Sunday January 2, 2022.

A circus adventure and a Broadway-style musical wrapped up in a family vacation spectacle, “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” is a celebration of toy soldiers, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread, penguins, holiday characters and Santa Claus. The show features over 300 dazzling costumes and world-class aerialists, singers and dancers.

This year there will also be a Santa Claus themed scavenger hunt, gingerbread cookie decorating and a live performance with Ms. Claus.

One vacation experience that will not return to Gaylord Rockies in 2021 is the popular “ICE!” sculpture exhibition, which featured “Rudoph the Red Nosed Reindeer” in 2019.

Gaylord Rockies said that due to international travel restrictions impacting ice cream makers, the exhibit will not be offered this holiday season at any Gaylord properties.
