When does Winter RiverFest start at Merwin’s Wharf?

Winter RiverFest begins November 26 through January 2.

CLEVELAND – Guests from Northeast Ohio are invited to celebrate the holiday season with Cleveland Metroparks Winter RiverFest at Rivergate Park and Merwin’s Wharf.

Winter RiverFest will begin on November 26 and run through January 2. The festival will take place every day of the week with the following hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday – Sunday: 12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

“The holiday season is a special time at the Cleveland Metroparks, and we’re excited to bring Winter RiverFest back to the Cuyahoga River,” said Brian M. Zimmerman, CEO of Cleveland Metroparks. “With ice skating, festive dining and more, Winter RiverFest offers families the opportunity to create new vacation traditions along our scenic waterfront.”

RiverFest will feature a brand new refrigerated ice rink and appearances from Santa Claus.

The seasonal rink will feature real ice that can withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees. Customers interested in skating can make reservations in advance in line in 90 minute increments. Skating reservations for guests over 6 years old will be $ 12 and guests 3 to 5 years old will receive a reduced rate of $ 5. Customers can also rent ice skates for $ 3.

Skaters without a reservation will be accepted based on availability. Rental of private ice rinks can also be booked by visiting HERE.

Other festival features include holiday decorations, a beer garden with fire pits, a retail store, and a dining experience in an igloo by the Cuyahoga River in the apartments.
